This year’s tour will start at the Coos Bay Fire Station. It will feature 5 sites demonstrating a wide variety of energy saving or creating features including solar photovoltaic, solar hot water, heat pump water heaters, passive solar home design, Earth Advantage construction with staggered stud framing, hay bale construction, an off-grid solar system, and more.
Registration is $5 at the Coos Bay Fire Station at 8:30 on October 6th, 2012. Pre-register at Sol Coast, 299 S. Bayshore, or call/email Jamie Fereday at Sol Coast at (541) 290-0223; jamie@solcoast.com.
The tour starts with a continental breakfast and registration at the Coos Bay Fire Station from 8:30 – 9:00. A guided tour to the sites will leave from the Fire Station at 9:00. Cost is $5.00/person. Limited seating is available on bus or van. We will return to the fire station by 1:00 p.m. Maps will be provided if you decide to take your own vehicle on the tour.
