The Oregon Electric Vehicles Association (OEVA) is hosting its annual EV Celebration Day coming up on Saturday, July 14th in downtown Portland at Pioneer Courthouse Square. It all starts at 9am and runs through 5pm.
As in years past, there will be a wide selection of plug-in vehicles and related vendors showing their goods and services. This year the number and variety of EVs is expanding to include not only some new EV conversions but some interesting new production EVs and plug-in hybrids including Tesla Roadsters, Fisker Karma, and the Th!nk City cars.
There will be several Solar vendors at the event including; Solar City, SolarWorld, and RS Energy. The speaker list is still firming up and as in years past it will include concerned government officials, utility luminaries, and testimonials from local EV drivers. It's a fun day that showcases the fun and practicality of driving an EV. Several OEVA members not only drive all-electric vehicles, but they also generate their own electricity with solar panels installed at their residence.
So please plan on being part of the fun. Stop by the OEVA Celebration Day down at the Pioneer Courthouse Square on July the 14th.
