The fun, exciting, and FREE workshop is coming to OMSI to give educators the materials and curricula needed to bring Renewable Energy into their classrooms with interactive and hands-on activities. KidWind workshops lead educators through lesson plans and activities that you can implement in your own classrooms. A Wind 101 presentation and a discussion about the challenges and obstacles to renewable energy in the Pacific NW today help to round out your experience and help to create not only better educators but more informed community leaders as well. You can watch a brief 90-second video on how the KidWind Teacher Workshops work here.

KidWind is an internationally recognized leader in K-12 renewable energy education. It has held teacher workshops in over 40 U.S. states as well as in Canada, Costa Rica, Chile, Ireland, Taiwan, Australia, and the Caribbean. Its formal, standards-based curriculum, WindWise, is utilized by tens of thousands of teachers across the country.

In addition to 6 hours of training, all attending teachers will receive over $100 of classroom kits and curricular materials from KidWind. The workshop is free of charge to formal and informal K-12 educators, and KidWind will provide FREE LUNCH as well!

Classes will be held on Feb. 1st, so sign-up now if you're an educator who is interested in participating in this unique educational opportunity. Contact Jon Roschke at Oregonians for Renewable Energy Progress (jon@oregonrenewables.com)for more information and to RSVP.
