The Oregon PUC & Renewable Energy Pricing
Last year, the Public Utility Commission of Oregon undertook, in Docket No. UM 1610, its first broad investigation since 2005 of PacifiCorp’s, PGE’s, and Idaho Power’s contracting practices and pricing for under-10 MW PURPA projects (which covers most medium-size renewable energy projects). Last month, the Commission issued Order No. 14-058, concluding Phase I of its investigation. Veteran PURPA attorney, Ken Kaufmann of Lovinger Kaufmann LLP; and OneEnergy Renewables president, Bill Eddie, will review the major findings of the recent Order and discuss the likely impacts on renewable energy development in the state.
