Join Solar Oregon at the 4th Annual Oregon Green Expo. This year's theme is Sustainable Local Living with topics including, Health and Wellness, Organic Farming and Gardening, Energy Efficiency Savings, Sustainable Economic Development, Alternative Fuels & Transportation, Renewable Energy, Natural Building and More!

The Basics of Going Solar workshop covers why solar is a smart choice for Oregon. Come find out:

  • How well solar works in Oregon's climate
  • Available solar technologies and how they fit into your overall energy use
  • Site considerations
  • The financial considerations of going solar including incentives and tax credits
  • Leasing, power purchase and regional solar bulk purchase options

Residential tax credits and incentives often pay for up to 75% of the cost!

Participants will come away with basic knowledge about solar energy systems and will be prepared to do more focused research on their own and start working with a contractor.

The Oregon Green Expo is open from Saturday, 10am-5pm and Sunday, 10am-4pm.

Admission is $3 for adults, free for kids 12 and under.  Workshops are free for attendees.
