September Solar Drinks!

Solar Forward

Doors at 6pm,  Community Center Tours 6-7pm, Speaker begins at 7pm

Join us outside the Southwest Community Center to learn about the City of Portland' first community solar project.  Our speaker this month, Andria Jacob, will introduce the new revolving community solar fund The City of Portland is launching in collaboration with Portland Parks & Recreation and Solar Oregon. This new fund will support the development of rooftop solar electric systems on Portland community centers and schools, with the first installation sited at the Southwest Community Center.

Tours of the community center will be offered between 6 and 7pm. Beverages provided.

Andria Jacob is a Solar Oregon Board Member and program manager for the City of Portland Bureau of Planning and Sustainability. Andria manages a portfolio of clean energy programs for Portland BPS and has 15 years of experience designing and delivering innovative energy efficiency, renewable energy and sustainability programs.

About Solar Drinks:

Solar Drinks is an opportunity for folks in the greater Portland area to meet other community members who support renewable energy. Come join us for a relaxed social and networking event where you can speak with Solar Oregon staff, solar industry members, and your neighbors about any topic under the sun!

Solar Drinks is a free event, but we are asking for a $5 suggested donation from non Solar Oregon Members to help us cover the costs of providing this event.
