Exciting Event! Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Tour - Saturday, November 13th, 9am.
Join us for a tour of a unique, 2-axis tracking solar PV system. This brand new 20 kilowatt solar project makes enough electricity to off-set power for two 40 Hp irrigation pumps. The system includes 96 Sanyo PV panels and micro inverters and adjusts its position every 15 minutes to stay perpendicular to the sun to ensure optimal energy production. The trackers are controlled by a PLC, not a photo cell. This project also received multiple tax credits and grants. Come experience the latest technology in solar power today!
Meet at EcoSolar, 515 So. 6th St., in Klamath Falls on Saturday, November 13 at 9:00 am. From there, we’ll carpool the short distance south. Please bring your walking shoes and dress accordingly - we will be outside.  Sponsored by: EcoSolar, the OIT Renewable Energy Engineering Club, OREC, the Smart Building Group and the Klamath Leaf of the Cascadia Green Building Council. No RSVP required but call Tim Thompson at 541-810-1800 if you have any questions.
