Passive Solar - Commercial Incentives

Incentives for commercial buildings that include passive or active solar space heating and/or daylighting

Incentive amounts are subject to change.  Each incentive program may include minimum eligibility requirements.  Please use the links provided to visit to find current incentive levels offered by each organization, and to learn how to be eligible for their incentives.

Oregon state tax credit:

Business Energy Tax Credit

  • 35% of eligible cost
  • Claimed over 5 years (10%, 10%, 5%, 5%, 5%), unless project cost is under $20,000
  • Eligible cost will likely be capped by payback requirement
  • Must apply before purchasing equipment

Incentives for utility customers:

Energy Trust of Oregon offers incentives for energy savings measures designed into new buildings and retrofitted into existing buildings, which may include passive and active solar space heating, and daylighting. 

Incentives for electricity saving measures are avialable to customers of:

Pacific Power

Portland General Electric (PGE)

Incentives for gas saving measures are available to customers of: 

NW Natural

 

Cascade Natural Gas
