PENDLETON — The city of Pendleton will present a free workshop on solar water heating Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at the Pendleton City Hall Community Room, 501 S.W. Emigrant Ave.

Solar water heating systems use sunlight to heat water for showers, dishwashing and other domestic uses. Guest speaker Robert Del Mar, residential solar project manager for Energy Trust of Oregon, will provide an overview of the technology and different system that are appropriate for Oregon climates, the costs and savings of using the systems and the financial incentives available to install the systems.
