"Future Energy Conference at Convention Center this week"
The main conference is Wednesday and Thursday, April 25 and 26, followed by the Energy Expo on Friday and Saturday, April 27 and 28.
Portland hosts the Future Energy Conference, a gathering on the business of renewable energy, this week at the Oregon Convention Center.
The four-day event incorporates the annual trade show of the solar industry, known as the NW Energy Expo, but also includes presentations on biogas, energy efficiency, financing of renewable energy projects, and other topics.
The main conference is Wednesday and Thursday, April 25 and 26, followed by the Energy Expo on Friday and Saturday, April 27 and 28.
Keynote speakers include Gov. John Kitzhaber; Gordon Brinser, president of SolarWorld Industries America; Paul Gipe, a renewable energy industry analyst; and Steven Nadel, executive director of the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy.
