Oh, what a night it was!
On the night of December 4th, we held our 2nd Annual Community Dinner at Aviary, chosen Willamette’s Week’s Restaurant of the Year. What a fabulous night! This fundraising event was a sellout and for those who were able to join us, on behalf of the Board and staff of Solar Oregon, we say THANK YOU for attending.
Umpqua Bank hosted the pre dinner cocktail hour and awards presentation given by Board President Elect Robert Cross and Executive Director Claire Carlson
As advertised, it was a memorable night of fabulous food and great company. People representing Oregon's solar manufacturers, installers, communities, organizations and clean-energy enthusiasts where there to celebrate another year of progress in our great state.

|Umpqua Bank on Alberta hosted a pre-dinner cocktail hour whereby we
honored the recipients of our Solar Oregon Awards. Robert Cross, Umpqua
bank manager, (Solar Oregon’s President-Elect), and Executive Director,
Claire Carlson, presided over the awards portion of the evening as they
acknowledged several individuals, Paul Israel and Poorna (Arvind)
Sridharan, for their efforts in 2012.
Thanks to all who made this evening so special. Our generous sponsors made this possible – especially Umpqua Bank, SolarWorld, Merryman Barnes Architects – and beverage sponsors WillaKenzie Estate, A to Z Wineworks and Full Sail Brewing Company. We sold out the event due to the support of our Board and table hosts, and attendees included non-profit leaders, solar business leaders, community leaders, and donors and guests. Thanks to Robert Deihl for volunteering to photograph the event. You can see many of these pictures posted on our Facebook Page [link]
Thanks also to those attendees who made additional donations in the room (you know who you are!), we appreciate your donation and your help will support vital programs in 2013.
For those not able to attend, we hope you can join us next year. In the meantime, if you’d like to support our organization, or support a particular program you are inspired by, you still have time to donate to our 501( c ) 3 non-profit before year-end.
