Support Hands-on Energy Education for Elementary and Middle school students
With summer winding down and that back-to-school feeling in the air, Solar Oregon is gearing up to bring energy education to more Elementary and Middle School classrooms. After a successful 2011-2012 pilot in 5 Clackamas County schools, we are expanding the program to Washington and Multnomah counties. With your support, we can reach 780 students this school year.
Your donation allows teachers and students across the tri-county region to access our hands-on science-based energy education program. Our lessons include technical, student-led projects such as measuring household energy use, designing and building solar cars and batteries, and testing insulation materials. With our classrooms overfull and schools strapped for funds, many teachers are unable to provide this type of valuable science-based energy education to their students on their own. We believe that all schools should have access to the Energy Education Program for free, and we provide the needed in-classroom support to make the program a success.
Donate Now to support the next generation of problem solvers and energy science professionals.
