"Support Solar Oregon by Choosing Clean Power"
We understand that some of solar energy’s biggest fans have a hard time making it work. If you rent or lease your home or business space, you may not have the authority to put up solar panels or invest in a solar hot water heater. Maybe the costs are too high to commit to right now, or there’s a beautiful shade tree blocking the sun’s rays. Whatever the reason, you can still support clean energy and Solar Oregon by signing up for green power.

Through September 30th, any new green power customer in the Portland General Electric (PGE) or Pacific Power service territories can help fund Solar Oregon. When you sign up online at either utility webpage, there is a “Where did you hear…?” box. Write in “Solar Oregon” or select it from the drop down menu, and PGE and Pacific Power will donate $25 to Solar Oregon for each new signup.
Electricity generation is the single largest source of greenhouse gas emissions in the United States. By purchasing green power, you will divert your energy dollars away from high-impact hydropower, coal, gas and nuclear plants, and instead invest in clean, renewable resources. The Northwest's environment, economy, and human health will benefit from that investment.
Buying green power is a great opportunity to help bring more clean power online and generate some funds for our organization.
If you live in Portland Please go to: http://www.portlandonline.com/PortlandChallenge
If you are a PGE or Pacific Power customer and you live outside of Portland visit you can still purchase clean power and Pacific Power customers can still support Solar Oregon when they sign up by indicating Solar Oregon in the Where did you hear about us? option:
PGE – Renewable Energy Options
Pacific Power – Blue Sky Renewable Energy
PGE and Pacific Power not your utility? You can still sign up for green power through many other utilities in Oregon. Our partners at Renewable Northwest Project have a webpage with links to all programs and some non-utility choices as well.
