The electrical connect from the Photovoltaic (PV) panels, typically mounted on your roof, will be enclosed in a metallic conduit from the roof down to your inverter.

The output of the inverter and your Solar Electric System is connected to a circuit breaker in your breaker box. The Electricity generated by your PV system will be used by the other circuits in your home, and any excess power will be sent through your electric meter to the local neighborhood.
