Travel Reimbursement Details

In order to help communities overcome the financial barriers of attending Solar Now! University we are offering a reimbursement to help cover the travel and lodging costs of attending the 2011 conference.

To be considered for this reimbursement please email claire@solaroregon.org with the following:

A statement which includes:

  • your reason(s) for attending the event
  • round trip miles to the conference from your community

Funding for travel reimbursement is limited. Applications will be considered on a first come first served basis for up to 3 attendees per community. The following conditions and exceptions apply:

  • Attendees and speakers from within 20 miles of Roseburg may not apply.
  • Other speakers are eligible if they are not being reimbursed by their companies.
  • More than 3 attendees from a community may apply for travel reimbursement, but the additional attendees will be given lower priority than applicants from other communities with fewer than 3 attendees.
  • Communities that received Solar Now! community grants from City of Portland must pay their own travel expenses for up to 3 attendees. Additional attendees from those communities may apply for travel reimbursement, but will be given lower priority than applicants from non-grant communities with fewer than 3 attendees.
  • All original receipts and documentation must be submitted after the conference along with reimbursement forms that will be provided.
  • No reimbursements will be given until after the conference.
