  • In Portland the two programs combined have produced over 1,100 solar installations in the past 4 years, saving over 9.8 million kWh of electricity on an ongoing annual basis and helping the City meet our greenhouse gas reduction goals
  • For every job created by the PV industry, between 1.8 and 2.8 jobs are created in other segments of the economy (source Stalix)

  • To date, Oregon has seen more than $2billion in investments in renewable  energy projects resulting in:

                      Over 1600 jobs created

                      Over $76 million in farmland leased

                      Over $142 million in property taxes and communitiy service fees contributed

                      Oregon now ranks #1 in the nation in green jobs per capita

                      In 2008, Oregon ranked #2 in the US for its energy efficiency programs and policies which have saved Oregonians hundreds of millions of dollars (Source Renewable NW Project)
