Willakenzie Estate:
WillaKenzie
Estate, a small family owned winery dedicated to producing Oregon wines with
the highest possible expression of Willamette Valley, and specifically the
Estate's uniquie terroir, with wines made in the traditional Burgundian style. WillaKenzie
Estate grows its grapes sustainably and the wines are OCSW certified (Oregon
Certified Sustainable Wines). We believe it is very important to preserve our
environment whether it be the soil on which the grapes are grown or the air
which we breath or the water in our streams or the pastures and forests which
provide habitat for wildlife. Solar
energy is used as a way to minimize negative impacts on the environment. Willakensie Estate's 135.5 KW, ground mounted
solar system is integrated into the surrounding nature and landscape and
provides about 40% of Willakenzie Estates electrical energy needs.
Stoller Family Estate:
Stoller wines come from vines grown at our estate vineyard, located in the Dundee Hills AVA of the Willamette valley. Our philosophy is to create a balanced wine from each individual vintage. The Stoller Family Estate winery is a solar-generating, gravity-flow winery that combines progressive, environmentally-friendly design with gentle, traditional winemaking practices. Both the LEED Gold Winery and the recently completed Tasting Room at Stoller Family Estate have roof mounted solar systems for a total combined solar system size of 123.7kW. The winery solar photovoltaic system consists of (224) Sharp 208 watt solar photovoltaic modules mounted on the two roofs of the winery. The tasting room building is designed to harvest at least 100% of the energy it uses from the site, and is expected to be “Net Positive”, producing excess energy to be used in the winery. The tasting room solar array consists of (236) SunPower, 327 Watt panels. The Stoller Family Estate also provides an electric vehicle charging station for customers’ use.
Domaine Drouhin:
The Domaine Drouhin wines have received world-wide acclaim from the press and the wine lovers year after year. Domaine Drouhin Oregon places more emphasis on viticulture than most producers in America. Their vines are perhaps the most densely-planted in the New World, with an average of 3,300 plants to the acre. Situated atop the Dundee Hills, between 400 and 800 feet in elevation, the site was selected for its remarkable similarity in climate, latitude and aspect to the legendary vineyards of Burgundy. The Drouhin's 94.5kW, ground-mounted solar system was installed in 2008, and embraces the Drouhin's environmentally-friendly business practices and their relationship with and commitment to the land and environment.
