SUMMARY:Solar Drinks- Lake Oswego
DESCRIPTION:Solar Drinks is a networking opportunity to meet other community members who support renewable energy. Come join us for a relaxed social networking event. Drinks and munchies provided by sponsors + short presentations on relevant topics of the day. \nRegister at https://www.eventbrite.com/o/solar-oregon-13258047202 \nFeaturing: Real Estate and PV: The impact of residential solar on the real estate market \nThe impact of solar on our rooftops really hasn’t been on many people’s minds and certainly not on the radar of most real estate brokers\, but that’s all about to change. \nToday many real estate professionals are thinking strategically about sustainability issues and staying relevant to their clients. Ecobrokers are becoming leaders in providing a new generation with the service and the expertise they expect. Millennials are the next wave of home buyers and there’s evidence to predict they’ll be demanding to know about the maintenance and energy costs of home ownership. Buyers have looked at seller’s utility bills to get an idea of how much it cost to live in a particular home’s conditioned space. Problem is\, this data doesn’t correlate and has much more to do with behavior and/or requirements of the current occupants than the home itself. A home energy test will actually test the system performance of a home and score it.\nCome to learn about Portland’s (coming soon) Home Energy Scorecard program. \nOur host\, Mac McDowell\, will also inform us about …\n* The impact of residential solar on real estate market: How it affects home appraisals\, financing and sales\n* The greening up of real estate through solar and energy efficiency\n* Connecting data with real estate process – how to green up the Multiple Listing Service (MLS)\n* How GREEN brokers are leading the charge by accelerating homebuyer demand for healthy and efficient homes.
