Power serves as Vice Chair of the House Committee on Energy and Environment\, and as a member of the Natural Resources Subcommittee of Ways and Means and the House Judiciary Committee. He also represents the Department in PGE’s Integrated Resource Planning proceeding\, is a member of the Renewable Energy Advisory Council at the Energy Trust of Oregon\, and is a member of both the Demand Response and Resource Adequacy Advisory Committees of the Northwest Power and Conservation Council. Prior to joining the Oregon Department of Energy\, Adam managed the UC Davis Energy Institute\, an academic research institute focused on renewable energy resources\, where he led the initiative to create a new interdisciplinary M.S. and Ph.D. program in energy studies. He also has experience as a senior analyst on the RPS team at the California Public Utilities Commission\, as the Wayne Morse Legal Fellow for U.S. Senator Ron Wyden\, and as the Director of Environmental Policy for an energy economics consulting firm. Adam has a B.A. in Political Science from Tufts University and a J.D. from the Benjamin Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University. \nTanya Barham\, Director of Operations\, PECI \nTanya’s management experience spans a wide variety of innovative and traditional energy applications including; coal and gas fired power plant operations\, planning\, maintenance\, and uptime management for clients such as Salt River Project\, Tucson Electric Power and Colorado Springs Utilities. She worked on geospatial management of ISO 140001 for Shell Petroleum Distribution in Iceland. \nTanya also has helped develop energy efficiency and renewable energy startups including: scaling a nascent AirCarePlus HVAC tune-up technology and savings aggregation program that has delivered 350 trillion BTU savings to small to medium commercial buildings on behalf of investor owned utilities; and building the Solar 4R Schools renewable energy education startup that now serves over 200 schools nationwide and delivers over 1 MW of solar energy.  Tanya is a member of the GridWise® Architecture Council. \nPECI helps communities thrive in the new energy economy.  PECI believes that current changes in the economy\, energy markets and technology are creating the means and the opportunity to turn what is currently waste from the energy system into opportunity for communities.  We believe that communities are best poised to aggregate\, oversee and benefit from innovations in energy production\, consumption and storage at the distribution grid level and that they will incubate the solutions to our nation’s energy security and future.   \nOlaf Lohr Sr. Manager for Utility Relations \nBorn in Chemnitz\, Germany\, Olaf has a background in international businesses and market development with over 14 years of experience in market research\, market entry and market expansion into the United States. Olaf is the Sr. Manager for Utility Relations for sonnen\, Inc. He is primarily focused on developing new business models for the energy storage markets where end customers and utilities will benefit from sonnen’s disruptive technology. Olaf’s expertise in new technologies is key in educating stakeholders about the benefits of energy storage and defining new products and services for sonnen to meet the increasing demand for clean and reliable energy. \n#sonnen is restoring power and hope in Puerto Rico: While the island is still mostly without power\, both for residential buildings and infrastructure\, our team has been working tirelessly to provide islands of power and clean water to the residents\, called “Energy Oasis”. The first one already installed is in Loiza\, where residents washed clothes in a river polluted with the deadly Leptospirosis bacteria. A similar installation is to be commissioned in La Perla\, where Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee shot the music video for the summer hit song “Despacito\,” overlooking San Juan’s rocky coastline. Many more will follow with 8 total under construction.\nSonnen believes in a larger mission: beyond the short term disaster recovery efforts\, renewable nano grids will continue to provide clean\, resilient and affordable energy to the island\, and help stabilize the grid\, and therefore make a significant contribution to rebuilding the grid in a more efficient and sustainable way. www.sonnen-batterie.com \nJoe Wheatley Regional Manager Tesla Energy \nJoe has been in the solar industry for 2.5 years. He started in the Los Angeles CA area in 2015\, but moved back to his home town of Portland OR in 2016 where he then took over as Regional Manager of Sales in the Oregon market for SolarCity. Prior to getting into the solar industry\, Joe spent 8 years in the US Army as a Combat Engineer and completed a tour in Iraq in 2008. It was there that his passion for helping people grew\, and he was able to see firsthand the importance of energy independence and the importance of moving our reliance of energy to renewable sources. \nTesla is focused on helping homeowners achieve energy independence. With solar and storage\, our customers are able to still have power if/when something should happen to the grid system. \nJon Miller\, Executive Director\, Oregon Solar Energy Industries Association \nJon Miller started his solar career in 2002 serving as OSEIA’s Executive Director until 2008. Jon was successful at developing OSEIA into the organization it is today.
