Basics of Residential Solar (Tigard)
The Basics of Going Solar workshop covers why solar is a smart choice for Oregon. Â This free workshop will be held at the Tigard Public Library on Wednesday, February 10th from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Attendees will walk away with an understanding of why solar is a smart choice for Oregon homeowners. Topics that will be covered include:
- How solar works in Oregon’s climate
- Available solar technologies and how they fit into your overall energy use
- Assessing your site for solar
- How financial incentives and tax credits can cover up to 80% of the cost
- Ownership, Leasing, power purchase and financing options
- Workshop participants will come away with basic knowledge about solar energy systems and will be prepared to do more focused research on their own or start working with a solar contractor.
