Curious about how the City of Tigard is planning for the future? While transforming a section of the library into a state-of-the-art Emergency Operations Center is a key step, it’s just the beginning! The Trailhead Resilience District Plan is a city-driven initiative to make Tigard more prepared and sustainable in the face of future challenges like natural disasters and climate change.
The plan focuses on several key areas:
- Increased Preparedness: This includes improving our emergency response systems and infrastructure and developing programs to help residents prepare for and recover from disasters.
- Sustainability: The plan aims to make Tigard a more sustainable city by promoting energy efficiency and clean energy, building affordable housing, and harnessing green infrastructure.
- Community Resilience: The Trailhead Resilience District recognizes the importance of strong social connections. It will strengthen our neighborhoods and create a more supportive community.
This initiative builds a stronger and more resilient Tigard for future generations by working together.
The Trailhead Resilience District plan is still in development, and your input is important! Don’t miss the opportunity to learn more and provide your insights in this engaging and exciting presentation!
