Goal Zero Tour 2019

$20What is it like to live in a net zero home? Join Solar Oregon, Passive House Northwest, Earth Advantage, Green Hammer, and the Home Performance Council of the HBA for this finale event of Sustainable Building Week 2019. Explore over a dozen ultra-efficient homes and learn all the surprisingly simple, accessible, and innovate strategies that homeowners use for getting to zero.
This open-house style tour from 10 am – 4 pm will feature net zero, ‘path to net zero’, and zero energy ready homes in N, NE, and SE Portland. Bike, scooter, bus, or drive between a dozen homes on a 5 mile diameter circuit through the city. Make sure to stop by Tillamook Row from 12 – 2 pm for refreshments and a special tour of these net zero apartments by Green Hammer!
Descriptions of the homes on the tour will be published at the beginning of Sustainable Building Week on Monday 10/14, and a digital map will be sent out to ticket holders via email on Friday 10/18. Paper maps will also be available to ticket holders at Spin Laundry Lounge on Broadway from 9 am to 12 pm the day of the tour.
The tour will be followed by a happy hour celebration at Shine Distillery & Grill. Close out Sustainable Building Week in style, and meet the builders, architects, and nonprofits that came together to make it happen!
$10 for Solar Oregon members, $20 for non-members.

Solar Oregon provides a variety of solar workshops and webinars. In our monthly How to Go Solar + Storage webinar, we will answer your questions about how solar works, share information about incentives available, and help you take the first step to add solar to your home or business. Participants will come away with basic knowledge about solar energy systems and will be prepared to do more focused research on their own, or start working with a contractor right away.
Our solar and storage workshops are sponsored by the Energy Trust of Oregon. Energy Trust of Oregon provides cash incentives to install solar and contractor connections to experienced trade allies so that obtaining solar for your home or business. With solar and storage becoming more accessible, homes and businesses across the state are installing systems. We also host solar showcases to highlight these projects and give you a chance to see how your neighbors and fellow Oregonians are using solar power.
