Solar University

Solar Oregon’s signature event unites leaders from Oregon and Washington. Each year the region’s smartest solar minds share their research, plans, and thoughts on how to get more solar built.

Since 2007, this conference has provided community solar champions, industry members, government and nonprofit leaders the technical education, network of support, and background needed to manage and coordinate solar programs in their communities. As part of the conference, participants learn about innovative, local-government-level solutions for eliminating market barriers and soft costs of grid-tied photovoltaics (PV).

Typical topics include:

  • Emerging Technologies
  • Alternative Energy Sources and Uses
  • Solar Applications for homes, businesses and agriculture
  • Solar Energy Policy
  • Financing Options: Tax Credits, Incentives, Grants and Loans
  • Permitting & Codes
  • Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure
  • Smart Grids and Energy Storage
  • Regional Case Studies

This conference is recommended for municipal and nonprofit leaders, city planners, utility and industry representatives, students, and renewable energy advocates.
